PNWC 2010 Central American Regional
June 12, 2010 - Guatemala City, Guatemala

-by CT

The PN Racing World Cup Central American Regional was the second event we hosted in coordination with GT-Z Racing in Guatemala City this year, and it was a lot of fun. The GT-Z Club has about 25 hard-core Mini-Z racers and is located about 10 minutes away from the city, in a little Natural Reserve area known as "Muxbal", which is also the home of a Boy Scout camp I used to go to as a child.

The GT-Z Racing facility is really nice, and right next door is a Top Notch Restaurant, named "La Pista" (the track) which is owned and operated by the Club Owners, Mike GT and Rod and Rick Zachrisson (who is the Chef). Funny thing is the Restaurant kinda came to be because of an Off-Road Track that used to be located in the now Parking Lot of the Restaurant. The Restauarant was originally just intended to service the Racers, but the food was so good, soon you had non-racers frequenting the establishment. Regardless, they offer a full Menu and Open Bar at the track while you are racing (which might or might not be good for you :P ) and it is EXCELLENT!!! The Restaurant is always busy, and especially packed on weekends. If you ever are in Guatemala City, check them out!

The track at GT-Z Racing is very challenging. It has a TON OF GRIP, but it is as bumpy as it gets. This makes this track the most demanding track set-up wise I have ever run on. It took me a couple of days to get the set-up down, but soon enough, I was able to get my MR-03 running laps that I was finally happy with.

Below are some pictures and the results.
